Belgian Gardens State School is situated in an inner city Townsville suburb adjacent to Castle Hill. The school's quiet environment results from its location some distance from the main roads. Belgian Gardens is a seaside suburb in tropical North Queensland and is the major enrolment source for the school. Students also travel from the adjacent suburbs of North Ward, Garbutt, Rowes Bay, West End and Pallarenda and a number of students travel from more distant locations. As with most Townsville schools, a significant level of student mobility now occurs throughout the year.
