Round Robin Competitions All our competitions are played in a Round
Robin format. Teams are placed into a draw in order of nominations received to
be rostered to play other teams. Ideally every team would play every other
team once or twice. However due to the number of teams and the fact that we
only have an eight week season this is not always possible. In the Division 1 Competitive Competitions each team is awarded points for how they achieve in each game over eight rounds. The winner is the team which accumulates the most number of competition points. These points are awarded as per the ATA Rule Book.
If two or more teams are leading the competition on equal points and have not played each other at the end of Round 7 the draw for Round 8 will be changed so that these two teams will play each other. If the two teams have already played each other the draw will not be altered. |
