BOYS TOUCH INFORMATION
21/22 May - The first week
of Inter-School Touch fixtures.
Upon arriving at
the Brothers Rugby League Fields, please assemble in front of the club
house
on Field 1 for a brief
meeting. Please try to be there by 12.20 pm so we can then start our games
relatively on time.
POINTS TO
NOTE
1. TEAM:- A team may have up to 14 players but only 6 on the
field at once.
2. COACHING:- Coaches may nominate to
coach a maximum of two teams but not in the same division.
i.e. a coach may have one
Division 2 team and one Division 1 team but not two Division 1 teams.
3. GAME TIMES: - DIVISION
2 games will be played in the first timeslot and DIVISION 1 in the second.
Game 1 Division 2 12:30 – 12:48 & 12:52 – 1:10pm (2 halves)
Game 2 Division 1 1:15 – 1:33 & 1:37 – 1:55pm ( 2 halves )
There will be central timing, with a hooter signaling the start and end of each half. If you start your
game late,
you must finish when the hooter
goes regardless of how long you have played.
4. POST PADS:- Schools should collect
goal post pads for their field before the game and return at the end of the
day's play.
5. MARKERS:- You may bring your own markers. Markers will also be
supplied by the convener. Schools listed first in the draw should collect 14
soft markers.
Place 2 either
end of the try lines and 2 either side of half-way. The others may be put along
the sidelines.
MARKERS MUST BE
PLACED 5M IN FROM THE
GOAL POST SIDELINE.
Teams listed first on the draw
should return markers to the convener at the end of the Division 1 game.
6. COMPETITION POINTS:-
DIVISION 1 - OPEN - COMPETITIVE
Win 3 points Bye 3 points
Draw 2 point Forfeit 0 points
Loss 1 points No Result 0 points
DIVISION 2 - SOCIAL YEAR 5/6
No points are kept.
Results of
DIVISION 1 Competitive games only will be recorded on a score sheet held by the
convenor with the first aid kit.
Each team must
ensure that the result of their game is recorded on this sheet before they
leave the grounds.
If this is not
done, coaches may email results to schri47@eq.edu.au
. If the results are not submitted the game will be recorded as a no
result and both teams will receive 0 points.
7. REFEREEING:- All referees must be registered teachers. The
team listed first on the draw should supply a referee
for the first half and the team listed second should supply a referee for the
second half. If a coach is away and the replacement is unable to referee, please
ring your opposing coach and ask if they would mind refereeing
the whole game.
8.TEAM LEVY:- A $35.00 Levy applies for each team entered.
9. ROUND 8:- DIVISION 1 - COMPETITIVE Draws may be changed for
Round 8 in the instance where 2 schools are tied after 7 rounds and
have not played each other.
10. FIRST
AID:-Each
school should bring their own First Aid Kit and each child their own water
bottle. A central First Aid Kit will be left next to the score sheet, if extra equipment
is needed. Each school should also bring their own ice pack. Each coach
is responsible for his or her own immediate First Aid. If an Ambulance is
required, a phone will be available in the clubhouse.
11. BALLS:- All games are played
with Junior Touch balls.
12. LASTLY:- Please refer to rules, dress requirements, a map of the venue, risk
assessment and the draws on this website.
